When I Met You

"I love him. Too much that it makes me want to be a bad person."

Bom looked at her best friend, or was it her best friend? Was this the Chae Rin she had known all along? She seemed different; she almost could not recognize this girl who was talking to her.

"Why did you deceive me? Why did you not let me know about your feelings for him?" Chae Rin shouted at her, she was furious, and there was no doubt about that. Unknown tears rolled down her cheeks. Bom wrapped her arms around her best friend. Bom was convinced that this was her fault. She felt guilty, she feels like she actually does not have the right to love him. As she tried to embrace Chae Rin, she instantly pulled away from Bom's touch.

Bom did not know what to do. She was stuck. Stuck with this guilt. She wanted to be selfish, she wanted to just not care, and just keep loving Ji Yong. But her love for Chae Rin forbade her from doing so. She possibly couldn't betray her own best friend and sister.

As she thought about that day, she couldn't feel but feel that guilt again. Tears came out from the corners of her eyes. She wanted to be selfish. She wanted to only think about her own feelings for once. She wanted to do what she wanted to do. She wanted to love the guy that she dearly loved. But to her she just simply could not.

"Don't touch my girlfriend!" Ji Yong told Seung Ri, playfully but yet with a serious tone as he copied her famous "Don't touch...” signature.

She hid a smile from him, trying not to show him how much she loved when he teased her. He never seemed to fail at putting a smile on her face. She walked over to him, and put on a puppy face.

"You always make fun of me," she said as she used her forefinger to touch his nose lightly, as if to tell him that he should be ashamed. But both of them knew that he likes to tease her and that she likes when he teases her.


"And I love it," he grinned, and lowered his face down to hers to give her a light kiss on her lips. Her heart skipped a bit just like the first time he had kissed her on her birthday. She kept her eyes close to make a long-lasting image in her head so she could never forget moments like these.

Even three years later as she closes her eyes again, that mental image that she left in her mind was still there. It was almost like she could almost still feel the touch of his lips on hers.


She misses him. Missed him so much that it pained her to live a life without him. She misses everything about him, even that constant teasing of his. She never admitted it to him, but she loved when he teases her. It was a time for her to know that he notices the tiniest thing about her. From the way she sings, to the tiny and most unnoticeable expressions she makes.

"Ehhh...?" Ji Yong imitated Bom instantly after that sound came out from her mouth.


Ji Yong became so hysterical and found it so funny, that he almost fell off his chair for he could not control the laughter that was coming from him. Bom gave out an embarrassed face, she barely knew this guy in front of her and he was already making fun of her? How could he?


Bom just barely met Ji Yong less than an hour ago, as all the YG staff decided to bring all the YG crew family together and have a celebration dinner. All the staff were in the same section, while the YG artists and trainees were together in a table.


Bom was just introduced to the family, and she was shy. She did not know how she should act around them, she is not very comfortable with new people, and it'll probably take some time until she opens up completely to them.


"Everyone, if I can have your attention please, I would like to introduce to you a new member of the YG family," the president turned towards the red-faced Bom, "Park Bom. Please treat and welcome her well to the family, because one day she will do great things for us."


A big round of applause came after, Bom turned even redder, she was blushing pretty badly that one could have thought that she must have eaten so many tomatoes for her face to turn red like that! She didn't want to look anybody for she might turn even redder, but as she just glanced up, a pair of brown eyes met hers.


They held and locked eyes that felt like the longest moment for Bom. He looked at her so intently that she did not even think he had blink once at all. She felt like he was trying to figure her out, and trying to find out what type of person she was through his eyes. She felt like she was being intruded, she wanted to turn away, but his eyes seem to tell her, "Don't."


Instead, she kept her eyes locked, and played this little game this boy seemed to be playing. After moments of only God knows how long, the boy gave an unexpected smirk. Bom was taken back, and jumped a little of surprise. She blushed even redder than when her introduction was made. She quickly turned away before that guy saw her, but it was already too late. From the corner of her eye, she had seen him laughing quietly."Well I'm glad someone found that amusing," Bom thought to herself.


For dinner, she seated herself in an empty table, she really did not know anyone yet, she didn't know how she should start out by making friends.


"Is anyone sitting here?" she heard a girl's voice from beside her, and she turned to find a pretty tanned girl with black hair talking to her.


"Oh no," Bom replied. "Go ahead and sit there." She gave the girl a smile.


The girl took the sit beside her. From the looks of it, the girl seemed to be younger than Bom, but not by too much. Maybe just a couple of years.She was probably 16 years old.


"Hi, my name is Chae Rin, I see you're new here! I hope that you will love it here and if you ever need help of getting around just let me know!" This girl, Chae Rin, was already so friendly. From that moment on, Bom knew that she will have a life-long friend. She smiled at Chae Rin, there was something about this girl that was different, although she barely knew her, Bom knew from her gut-feeling that she was right.


"Thank you so much!" Bom gave her a big smile. And starting from that moment they started to talk like they were old friends that got separated and were now trying to catch up with everything.


"Oh, oppa! Come sit over here!" Chae Rin told a guy who was walking towards their table. And as soon as Bom looked up, her heart started beating fast. It was that guy again.


He walked coolly towards their table, and as he came right in front of them, he turned to Chae Rin and gave her a smile. Bom was surprised to actually see a smile come out of his face, instead of that smirk that he had given Bom awhile ago.


"Chae Rin-ah, I haven't been able to see you in awhile, how's your family doing?" He inquired with a worried look. Apparently Chae Rin's sister was very ill, and her family really needed help and support.


"Oh they're doing so much better, Hana, is finally recovering. And the Doctor said that there's no need to worry and that she will be okay." Bom's heart ached as she saw Chae Rin's face filled with sadness. "Mom told me to make sure that I say thank you for the money you lend us for Hana's medical bills, oppa."


"Don't worry about it kiddo!" He ruffled her hair and gave her a big smile. "What kind of Oppa would I be, if I don't help you through your tough times."


He made his way through an empty chair in the table, which was the seat right in front of Bom. As he sat down, Bom and him locked gazes again. Her heart skipped a beat once again.


"Oh oppa! This is Park Bom Lee!" Chae Rin introduced Bom to him. "She's one of the new trainees here!"


"Park Bom..." He said the name out loud. Not particularly to anybody. It seemed like he was just saying it to himself, more than anyone else. It was as if he was trying to hear out how her name sounded when it came out of his mouth. As he said that he stared at her. She was starting to feel really uncomfortable, but not in a bad way. She doesn't know how but that was how it felt like.


"Bom unnie, this is Ji Yong oppa!" Chae Rin quickly said, and didn't even seem to notice how Ji Yong was still intently gazing and looking at Bom.


"Hello," Bom finally said and broke away the awkwardness by extending out her hand to him. "Nice to meet you."


As soon as their hands touched, it felt like there was some type of electricity or shock that went through her body. There was something about this guy that made her feel different. She quickly let go, afraid that he would somehow find out who she was. She felt like by that touch he was trying to figure out who she was. She wondered if this was how he treated everyone that he first met. She must find out and put an end to it, because she really doesn't want anyone going through what she was feeling from this guy!


Everyone started ordering their food, but Bom was more than ever confused of what to get. They were at a French restaurant and she has never eaten at a place like this before! She told Chae Rin about it and, she helped her, and told her what each food was. She finally settled with a food that she did not really get what it was, but ordered it anyways..


The waiters finally came to their table and brought plates and plates of food. Bom was excited, because she was starving and had not eaten since this morning because of her busy schedule. Everyone got their food, and finally one of the waiter was going towards her to give her her food. She was so excited, her stomach quietly growling, telling her how hungry she was. The waiter placed the plate on her food, and Bom's expression changed.


"Ehhh...?" Bom let out. And she regretted right away, for a big laughter came right after. It was coming from none other than the infamous Ji Yong.


"Ehh...?" he mimicked. He found this so amusing that the whole YG family was staring at their table looking at Ji Yong laugh, and seeing Bom's, once again, red face.


From that moment on, she regretted ordering that food. She regretted coming to this French restaurant. She regretted never knowing the food of French, and she came to the conclusion that she will never eat at a French restaurant again, and also she came to the conclusion to avoid this Ji Yong guy.


He has made her feel embarrassed and like a fool more than once in less than a day, and having barely known him. Why must she have said "Ehhh...?"


She expected something different from what she was given, that when she got her plate, she was surprised at what she saw. It looked like it was something disgusting, made out of blood or something! That when that noise came out from the back of her throat, she couldn't help it.


She also couldn't help this laughing guy stop from laughing at her. She simply sighed, it seemed like she was going to have an interesting life in this new home that she has now.

As Bom was getting closer to her destination, she couldn't help but let out a laugh from thinking of the memory they first met each other. He was different from any other person she had met before. Before even meeting him, he already had this control over her that she couldn't help but notice. The way he made her feel all these emotions at once, making her heart skip a beat, making her blush. And also making her feel the most important person in the world, as she had later learned.
