His Family

"Ahaha! Park Bom nuna was always so weird with people touching her purse an- Oh sh*t!" Seung Ri exclaimed. "I'm so sorry Hyung! I didn't mean to, I really am sorr-"

"It's okay," Ji Yong cut him off and gave him a small reassuring smile. But even Ji Yong's smile was forced, anyone can tell that he didn't mean it. It only made Seung Ri even more worried and sorry that he mentioned what he mentioned a few seconds ago.

"Ah crap, I've been doing so good, and damn, her name just went out my mouth like I couldn't even control it! I swear!" Seung Ri acted as if he was pleading guilty and asking for forgiveness of a crime he committed.

Ji Yong chuckled. He finds it funny how everywhere in YG, everyone feels like it was forbidden to say or mention Park Bom around him. Like if they mentioned her in front of him, they have sinned and will die in hands. When honestly, he doesn't mind when they say her name or talk about the things she did before. It made him feel like she was close to him, so close like he could go back in time and relive the life they had once together.

"You can mention Park Bom anytime you want," he smiled and ruffled his hair hair playfully. "But just make sure I don't hear you confessing your secret love for her."

"Aww dang! But I really did like Bommie before you did though!" Seung Ri replied back shouting as Ji Yong was making his way to the door and exit.

"In your dreams little buddy!" Ji Yong shouted back but not turning once as he said with a smile on his face as he left the room.

As soon as he left the door, he ran. He ran as fast as he could get his feet to take him. He needed to find a cab, not caring about the people staring and the fangirls running after him. The only thing that was going through his mind was, Park Bom...

He smiled as she became more nervous on the ride to his home. She was unaware of her habits that always told Ji Yong how nervous she was. The way she always just stared at an object for a really long time. The way she would scratch her thumbnails with each other. They way she would just slightly move her upper body back and forth almost unnoticeable. The way she tightened her cheeks a little harder to purse her lips. But most of all after every few minutes she would give him the most nervous look as if to tell him he needed him to comfort her. He understood all of that.

She finally turned her head up to the left to look into his eyes. At that moment he took the chance to grab both her hands with his and hold it firmly to reassure her that everything will be alright.

"They'll love you, I promise," he softly said to her, and even tightened his hold onto her. Her face stayed with the same worried look.

"But what if they don't?" She asked with the most cutest face, he thought, in the world.

"I've lived with them all my life, I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about," Ji Yong laughed, as he took his left arm while his right hand stayed holding one of her hands, as he wrapped the other around her shoulder. She quickly laid her head on his shoulder.

Oh God, how he wished he could do all these things but not as a friend, but as a lover.

Since he first saw her, he was mesmerized. She was beautiful, actually no, she was beyond beautiful, the most beautiful girl he has ever seen. If love at first sight did exist, he could say that was what it was. He fell in love the moment he saw her. Not only did he fall for her beauty, her weird personality hit home-run for him. He's still debating whether it was actually her beauty or personality that made him fall in love with her.

He decided that it was both. Her beauty and her lovable and funny personality was what made him love her. He didn't even know when he realized it, for a long time now he has started to know in his mind that he loves her. Oh how he wished that he could say those three words to her.

Never in his life has he felt this way. Never in his life has a girl made him feel like this. Never in his life has he met such an amazing and different girl like her. Never in his life has he took home a girl to meet his family. Never in his life.

That is until he met Park Bom. She was different, and they were on their way to see his mother and younger sister.

Bom was finally convinced that his family wouldn't hate her. Why she thought that Ji Yong's family was instantly going to not like her, and make her not be in Ji Yong's life anymore? She did not know.

Maybe it really wasn't the fact that they would not like who she is. But more to the fact that the people she will meet today are the most important people in Ji Yong's life. And if they somehow disapprove of her, then it would be like saying she did not belong in his life at all.

"And if they somehow ended up not liking you at all, I'll just say that you're a crazy girl in need of shelter and love," he teased.

"That's not funny at all!" Bom lightly slapped his arm, but then laughed along with him later.

"We will be there in a minute," Ji Yong said. "Are you ready?"

"No," she nodded her head.

"You'll be fine, I promise."

Once again reassuring feeling came over her. Ji Yong always knew how to make her feel better. He has never failed.

"Okay, but I will blame you if my best friend's family doesn't like me," she replied as the taxi came to a stop and she looked at the place to her right of what seemed to be Ji Yong's house. It was a pretty decent house. You wouldn't suspect that it was from a family whose son was from a famous band member. There was a big wall blocking the outside from the inside, and a big green gate separating them from the house.

"Thank you," Ji Yong said to the taxi driver as he paid him the fee. "I've never lied to you before, have I?" He took her wrist and led her to the gate and rang the doorbell. He was afraid to take her hand again, lately he has been hesitant, afraid that he would scare Bom away with his affectionate actions.

The door was suddenly swung open, and on the other side was a cute teenage girl with long black hair and a pretty face that seems to resemble Ji Yong, instantly as she opened the door she ran to Ji Yong and gave him a huge heavy hug, that could have almost left him falling down. Bom immediately knew by the way the two greeted each other they seemed to be really close, that was his younger sister.

"Jiae! How are you doing kiddo? I missed you so much!" Ji Yong told his little sister as he gave her the same tight hug as she gave him.

"Oppa! This is so unexpected!" she let go to take a good look at Ji Yong and then she suddenly noticed Bom on the side, "Oh! Who do we have here?"

"This is Park Bom, Bommie this is Jiae, my little sister," Ji Yong introduced them.

Before Bom could even blink, Jiae came running to Bom and gave her the same type of hug she had given Ji Yong earlier. Bom didn't know how to react, couldn't even react to the younger girl suddenly hugging her! Before Bom could hug her back, Jiae had already let go and was looking at her with a smiling face, and a message that looked like she knew something that Bom probably didn't.

"So you're her!" Jiae smiled and pointed at her.

"Uhh... I am?" Bom looked confused, and in the side of her she heard a chuckle coming from Ji Yong. She didn't even want to look at him, instead she kept her attention on his adorable and definitely energetic sister. "What do you mean by that?"

"Come on! I got to let you meet Eomma!" Jiae didn't even answer her question, which she really needed, she was very much confused. As Ji Yong's sister dragged her to the inside of the house, she looked back at Ji Yong who was happily following them behind who was of course laughing his butt off. Bom kept a mental note to herself that he would get what he deserved later.

"Eomma!" Jiae shouted even louder. "I have two surprises for you!"

"Jiae, keep it down!" A lady's voice could be heard from the other side of the house that seemed to be getting closer and closer. Then suddenly, Bom saw a short pretty lady coming from the kitchen with kitchen attire on, she seemed to have been cooking something. She had a nice-natured face, like one of those older ladies that seemed to have a good life before and was now happy in their older years.

"Omo! Ji Yong-ah!" It was an exact reply of what had happened before with him and his little sister, but instead this time it was his mom. "Ji Yong-ah, why have you visited us only now?" Ji Yong's mom was now sentimental, she was beginning to cry, happy to see her son again.

"Eomma, don't cry, I've been so busy lately, and I tried to come here as soon as I can," Ji Yong told his mother as he gave her multiple hugs, trying to make her feel better. "Look I got you some of your favorite fruits!"

While the mother and son were catching up, Bom was touched at how close the three were. As Jiae was still holding Bom's wrist from dragging her to the inside, Bom saw that Jiae was also crying at the scene of Ji Yong coming back and reuniting with them again. Obviously Ji Yong was loved and cherished very much by his mother and sister, and Bom smiled at that.

"Oh! Eomma! Guess who Ji Yong brought home with him!" Jiae finally interrupted them as the two finished their hugs.

Ji Yong's mother turned around, and finally for the first time noticed that Bom was in the room. Her face began to show a confused look, wondering who this lady that her son brought home.

"Omo, who might this beautiful young lady be, that my son decided to bring home?" Ji Yong's mother slowly walked her way to Bom. Bom felt a little nervous, she felt like she was some kind of hostage that the younger sister kept, and the mother was the president of some gang who was about to question her.

Bom didn't know what to do, she didn't even answer her question without even knowing it. Jiae budged her to go on, as if to tell her, 'Go on, tell her who you are.'

"Uhm... Park... Bom," Bom said quietly and nervously. She was so nervous and freaked out that she almost didn't quiet hear a laughter on the side, that she only known-too-well, was coming from Ji Yong. Almost.

"Omo! Omo! Omo!" Bom has never heard anyone say that expression so much from one person in one day until today.

"I know!" Jiae joined in with the mother's excitement.

"Ehh...?" Bom couldn't help but blurt that out.

"Omo! It's her!" Ji Yong's mother and Jiae was jumping up and down now. "It's definitely her!" And now Bom was even more freaked out, her nervousness was out of the question. Out of all the feelings she thought she might feel today upon meeting Ji Yong's family, freaked-out was definitely not one of them. If only they would tell her what it is they are talking about, maybe it would be better for her, but they seemed to be staying in their own little world and ignoring her!

"Can you say that again?" Jiae asked Bom with excited eyes.

"Ehhh...?" They were shrieking louder now.

"Mom, Jiae, stop that," Ji Yong finally butted in, as he walked towards Bom. "I think you're scaring her." Ji Yong laughed, as he wrapped his arms around Bom to protect her from his family.

"Oh! We are so sorry!" Ji Yong's mother finally regained back to her calm-self. "Call me Eommoni." Bom was a little surprised to find that his mom wanted Bom to call her mom at the first meeting.

"Ah, that's alright, Eommoni," Bom gave out a nervous chuckle, not knowing what she should do now.

"So you are the famous and lovely Park Bom we have been hearing about, huh," Ji Yong's mother took Ji Yong's wrapped hands from Bom, so she could give Bom an affectionate hug.

"Ehh...?!" Bom said even louder than from the previous one. Ji Yong has told them about her before?

"I've heard so many good things, and much more funny things about you, young child," the lady was so kind and affectionate towards Bom. As she got a closer look at his mother, she seemed to be the type of mom, who put their everything into her family. Her eyes, her face, her hands seemed to tell that, especially her hands. As she touched Bom and hugged her and now leading her to the kitchen, Bom could feel that she had the soft hands good mothers have.

Bom couldn't help but feel happy that Ji Yong had such loving mother and sister in his life. He needed them, especially since he grew up father-less.

"Dear, do you mind singing for us sometime tonight?" Ji Yong's mother inquired.

"Is it true that you keep a deer's belly button in your purse, and give it to people who are sick?" Jiae asked her.

Throughout the night, Bom's night was full of surprises, questions, laughter, tears, and love. Ji Yong's mother and sister were more than eager to get to know Bom. They more than happy to find more about her as if she was some celebrity in the family, and it was all thanks to Ji Yong. She still doesn't know how he had told them about her, or what exactly it was that he told them, but she was happy that they loved her. She also loved them too.

His mother was kind, she was surprised to see a warm and kind mother, especially after all the things she's gone through in life. Her husband leaving her behind with two children to raise on her own, and having no one to support her financially, she was the opposite type of mother Bom expected to see.

Jiae, was such an adorable girl. She was seventeen years old, and she seemed to idolize her brother and look up to him a lot. She was just as kind as her mother and as bold as her brother. There was no doubt that her brother really cherished her, after they ate dinner, her brother surprised her with countless of gifts that a girl her age would only dream about. But even that, Bom could see she was not spoiled, she treasured every gift she got from her brother and every gift she got from God, including the family she has got.

Throughout the day, Bom teared up multiple times, to see how happy they were. After hearing so much about them, she was glad to witness the love this family had. The happiness and joy this small family gave each other.

"You don't know how glad I am to see a person who will care of my son while he's not with us," Ji Yong's mother thanked Bom with a smile on her face.

"I think he takes care of me more than I take care of him," Bom smiled back. "But I do my best to take care of Ji Yong-ah."

"Eomma, you should see how she hits and shouts at me when I do something she doesn't like!" Ji Yong exclaimed. "I don't think that's called taking care of me, I think that's more like abusing me, Miss Park Bom!"

"Ji Yong-ah!" His mother slapped him hard on the arm, and Ji Yong flinched and looked confused. "I'm sure Bommie knew what she was doing."

"Ehhh...?" Ji Yong questioned confused, whose side was she on? Now it was Bom's turn to laugh, she loves his family and how welcoming they were.

"You probably deserved it anyway, Oppa," Jiae said looking at her brother disapprovingly.

"That's right, Ji Yong, do you remember why I even hit you?" Bom questioned him with a smile on his face.

"Uhh.. hehe," Ji Yong couldn't answer, but instead stuttered with a laugh at the end.

"I'm pretty sure that it was cause you didn't know how to treat a lady, telling me- err- I mean her, how she should clean her room," Bom replied. "No matter how much of a clean-freak you are, you should be a little more respectful." Bom smiled at him happily.

"Ah! It bothers me when you leave all your clothes all over the florr," Ji Yong suddenly exclaimed, trying to defend himself.

"Ji Yong-ah! Treat Bom a little more nicely next time will you?" His mom told him.

"Of course," He smiled at her, and looked at Bom as if trying to tell her that he really will. "But only if she would stop using her bathroom slippers when she goes to my apartment."

"Hmph!" Bom pouted with a cute angry face that Ji Yong always loved to see.

"I can see Oppa really likes you," Jiae suddenly said to Bom, and Bom didn't know how to respond to that. "I've never seen him tease someone as much as he does to you."

"Jiae stop," Ji Yong immediately said to his sister with a rather serious tone of voice that had Bom and his family taken back.

"Why?" She questioned.

"Just stop before you say somethings that she doesn't want to hear," Ji Yong replied quietly as he stood up and took Bom's hand and dragged her to the living room.

"Why are you being like this?" Bom questioned him, but was fully aware at how tightly he was holding onto her hand, like he was slightly upset.

"I just don't want you to be scared away."

"What do you mean?" She was confused.

"To know my feelings for you," he whispered quietly, which she almost didn't catch. But once she processed it into her mind, she stopped him from walking, shook his hold of her, and looked at him in the eyes.

"I don't understand," she said firmly, demanding an explanation from him.

"There's nothing to understand, just forget about it okay?" He replied as he was about to turn around and keep walking just to avoid her question.

But Bom was quick to know what he was about to do, and quickly walked in front of him to block him from continuing on.

"No. I am not about to forget about it. Tell me."

It was a moment of silence after that, both not moving from the place they were glued on. They didn't look away, didn't blink for a second, and their breathings were the only thing that could be heard. Two people who was in the other side of the room, unknown to both Ji Yong and Bom, were intently watching and listening to their every move and conversations. Ji Yong's mom and sister definitely were interested and found this entertaining as they stood quietly with their ears perked up trying to eavesdrop every little thing they can to hear and see.

He took a deep breath without taking his eyes of her beautiful big brown eyes. He didn't have any other way to this, she had cornered him. He knew that he wouldn't get out of his house alive back to YG unless he did what he wanted her to do.

"I... like you." he kept his eyes on her.

Bom was taken by another surprise she didn't know what to say, or what to do. This was far the most surprising thing he has told her. What should she say to him? Should she say she felt the exact same things for him? Could it be possible that they can work things out?

"Oh..." she whispered as she was the first one to break away the eye contact.

"Oh?" he took her chin with his fingers and gently pulled it up so she would look at him. "Is that all you can say?"

Bom tried to look away, but every time she tried to he would somehow make her look at him. Of course that wasn't all she could say. She wanted to say more, tell her she felt the same way, but would it be okay? Would he be allowed to have a girlfriend? Would YG approve of it? Would it okay to like Ji Yong like he liked her?

"No," she nodded her head. "You can't like me."

"Well I do."

"No. You can't." she pleaded him rather than stating the fact. Because truly, she felt so happy right now to find out his true feelings for her that she's been only been able to dream about, but it broke her heart to know that she can't be with him.

"Why?" he asked her with a desperate look. "Do you not feel the same way? Just tell me if you don't. I promise I will never mention this again."

Bom's eyes were becoming blurry and misty, before she could help it tears were slowly rolling down her cheeks. She then heard a big sigh of regret from Ji Yong.

"You know how I'm powerless when you cry," he whispered to her as he put both his hands on the side of her face and used his thumb to wipe away her tears. From the background, two squeals could be heard, but both Ji Yong and Bom were oblivious to their surroundings.

He wrapped his arms around her and gently placed her head onto the crook of his neck as he also placed his head on top of hers. His mother and sister were now jumping up and down of joy, the mother and sister weren't able to hear what was said, but from the looks of it, it seemed like they were showing their true feelings for each other.

"Will you wait for me?" Bom pushed her head from him so she could look at him in the eyes, and see what the answer is for her question.

"Forever, Bom," he whispered as he held the side of her face again and closed his eyes and leaned in to her face so close that their noses were touching. Both Bom and Ji Yong had their eyes closed just letting the moment savor in to their minds and hearts. They understood each other well. Without Bom having to say anything anymore, Ji Yong knew what she was saying, what she was asking him. Bom also knew when he said forever, that he meant forever. He always kept his promises.

Right now was not the best time for them to do anything with their feelings, they both will have to wait until it was the right time. A minute later two squealing and excited people came next to them interrupting their quiet moment. Ji Yong and Bom were both startled with the noises next to them. Ji Yong gave a disapproving look at them, and Bom regained her normal self and wiped the little tears left in the corners of her eyes.

"Ah! Congratulations! I'm so happy for both of you!" Ji Yong's mother exclaimed as his sister nodded along with what her mom was saying.

"Eomma! Nothing happened!" Ji Yong told her.

"Oh." Ji Yong's mom and sister said in union.

"Yeah, we just cleared up somethings," Ji Yong replied as he let go of his hold of Bom.

"Heh, yeah, that was it, nothing else," Bom added with a reassuring smile.

"Oh." the mother said again. "Well whose up for some cookies?" She replied changing the subject quickly, although she couldn't help feeling disappointed.

"Oh me!" Bom and Ji Yong replied together, both were not excited to get some of the best cookies made in the world.

"Do you happen to have some Uksusu too?" Bom smiled as he asked her. Ji Yong laughed at that, both were now trying to do everything they can to forget what happened awhile ago, for now.

"Yeah she loves Uksusu and bread more than anything , mom" Ji Yong informed his mother. "I suggest every time she visits you, you better prepare your stock with some corn and bread!"

Ji Yong and Bom stayed there for some more hours, and late at night they prepared themselves and got up to leave. They said their goodbyes, with both Ji Yong's mother and sister crying to see Ji Yong leave. Also to see another important person, Bom, to be leaving as well.

"Oppa! You better visit soon okay?" Jiae hugged her brother with tears in her eyes. "I'll miss you so much! Bring Bom Unnie here as well!" Jiae hugged her brother another second and then went to Bom to give her the same goodbye hug.

"I like you Bom Unnie," Jiae whispered to her with a smile on her face. "I really think you should be my brother's girlfriend. I've never liked his past girlfriends before, but I think you're different. And that you're good for him."

Bom just smiled at her and hugged her tightly into her arms. She has always liked people younger than her, and Jiae was a nice girl, but what she told her, she couldn't respond to it, so instead she just hugged her in response. "I'll come back here again and many times after that, okay?" Jiae nodded happily.

Ji Yong and his mother were now saying their goodbyes to each other, as both were now tearing up.

"My son, I want you to keep doing what you're doing. No matter what you do, you've never failed in making me proud of you," his mother told him, as she hugged her son tightly and gave him motherly kisses all over his face.

"Thank you, mother," he said also crying.

"I'm happy to have a son like you."

"I love you, Eomma," Ji Yong was crying like a baby.

As Bom and Ji Yong were about to exit through the gate to get in to the cab outside the house, for they were only given a day to leave YG, Ji Youn's mom took hold of Bom's wrist and pulled her to the side. Ji Yong's mother had a smile on her kind face. Bom had never met such a lovely lady like Ji Yong's mom.

"Bom, I am so glad that Ji Yong decided to bring you here today," she told Bom. "I hope your first impression of us being scary and all, have changed."

Bom laughed, and smiled at Ji Yong's mother.

"Of course, you guys were wonderful, and I'm so happy to see Ji Yong lived with a great mother and sister by his side."

"Thank you Bom, but I'm more happy that Ji Yong has got you in his life," Ji Yong's mother now had a serious face. "For a year now, every time he called us through the phone or visited us a few times last year, he would always talk about this girl named, 'Park Bom.' And how wonderful and beautiful she was. I'm finally glad we have met the famous, Park Bom," she smiled at Bom, as Bom turned bright red.

"He said that?" Bom was flushing, Ji Yong's mother could see that Bom liked her son as much as her son liked her, no matter how much these two couldn't admit it.

"Yes, I leave him to you to take care of while I'm not there," she whispered. "Now, you guys better get going, so you can get there on time."

Ji Yong's mother and Jiae waved them goodbye as Ji Yong and Bom went inside the cab. As they drove back home, the two felt something different than before they came here. Bom met his family, the only girl to have ever done so, and above all of that they love her. Both were now aware of each others' feelings. But yet their feelings for each other would have to be kept to only the both of them, and yet unmentioned to each other.

Bom looked at the street lights outside, while Ji Yong wrapped his arm around her as Bom placed her head on top of shoulder. Ji Yong watched her look at the streets, he couldn't help but love her more each second. She was just flawless and perfect. Even his family thought so, they even probably liked Bom now more than they liked him. He was happy to see her fit in with his family. As he thought about the great visit they had today, he slowly placed his head on top of hers and closed his eyes to thank God how blessed he was to have three wonderful women in his life. And one of them was the love of his life who was now sitting close beside him. He couldn't be anymore thankful.

He ran, so fast that he didn't even know he had the speed to run as he did now. He couldn't believe it. He was so stupid for not realizing it until now. How did he not think about it before?

"Park Bom, I promised you that I will wait for you forever," he panted as he kept running trying to find and catch a cab.

If he was right, how could they not tell him anything?

"But sometimes waiting forever can be tiring."

Why would they keep this a secret from him? How could they not tell him why Park Bom left, or where she went.

"Don't worry, I'll still wait," he said, as he ran faster for he saw a cab parked about ten feet away from him. "I'll wait and look for you."

"Cab!" He shouted, as he finally made it, and opened the door and seated himself in, and told the taxi driver his destination.

To his mother and sister's house.

He was sure they knew of the answers he has been looking for.

"Park Bom, wait for me."
